Happy fall everyone!
Fall is a time for bright blue skies, the crunch of leaves underfoot, snuggly warm sweaters, and change. And boy, are we changing here! I can’t wait to share with you what we are planning for the next few months and see what God has in store for the Rossis!
As you may have noticed, I’ve been fairly silent on the internet for the past few months. There was some question about the future of Rachel Rossi Interior Design. I thought I had found my dream job! Through various and complicated circumstances, I’ve stepped away from that job and decided to go for it as a full time small business owner! So you can breathe easy: I’m not going anywhere, but there are going to be some big changes around here!
I’ve got so many big dreams: I’m a dream machine on a regular day—give me a few days off and room to think and I’ve got enough dreams for 20 lifetimes. A week after I stepped away from my stable, paying job, I attended the Pursuit 31 Conference, a conference for business-owning women. My sister had finally worn me down after 3 years, and I decided to go—thank the Lord I did! What a blessing and perfect timing. It gave me time away from the stress of life and the rush of trying to figure out what to do next.
I won’t make you read through my saga of ideas, crisis, dreams, impatience, concerns, convictions, and options…but let’s just say that through the conviction to wait patiently for my big ambitious dreams and follow my passion for what I’ve always loved, I’ve decided to pursue the goal of releasing a fabric line next year for quilters and crafters. While that’s in process I’ll be creating and selling lots of great product patterns and quilt patterns, a dream I’ve had since I was a little girl. Typically textile designers have lots of cute, great little products that go with their lines and come straight from their creative hearts, and those products are sure to come as well!
Don’t worry, your favorite blog posts won’t be going anywhere—I will actually be releasing posts twice a week, so you’re going to get double of everything: DIY’s, tutorials, remodeling stories and helpful tools…everything!
I’m so excited for this new chapter of life. Pushing myself. Creating a brand. Joining a community. It’s going to be a crazy ride & I’d like to thank you for jumping on with me—the best is yet to come!
