Color Consultation: Newlyweds!

Color Consultation

A few weeks ago I was approached by a wonderful new client about choosing colors for her new home! Color consultations are one of my favorite packages, so I was very excited. When asked about their style they gave me adjectives like clean, sleek, and not afraid of color.

This all sounded great to me! With dark trim throughout the house and a new hardwood floor on its way, I was feeling quite excited to tackle the challenge that they gave me. They also had a bonus project: figure out what to do with two dark bookshelves that framed a large fireplace.

After a week and some creative evolution, we came up with some great color schemes and ideas. Enjoy!

We went with an pop of color for their bookshelves, I can’t wait to see the finished product!

For their main living spaces, we went with a “Sea Glass” color scheme. Doesn’t it just feel so clean?

The guest bedroom and bathroom coordinate with each other beautifully. Light blue-green tones melt with burnt oranges and creams. I call this palette “Minimal.”

The master bedroom is going to be as relaxing as a “Spring Rain,” as hints of green will be paired with deep purples (as you know, purples are very popular this year!) and grey.
