As you may know, I recently took a cross country train trip with my Husband, Steven in June. I can’t wait to tell you about the whole trip, but today I wanted to show you one of the most inspiring places that we visited along the way! We went to Mission San Xavier Del Bac in Tucson Arizona. There was lots of inspiration to be had on the entire trip, but this was an especially magical place. With painted stucco and Native-American inspired designs, I found a way to bear the heat and really soak in the beauty of this place.
Today is going to be a photo-heavy sharing time, but I wanted you to feel just as inspired as I did in this place. If you keep a close eye out, you might even see some variations of these images in my future designs!
So, let’s sit back, and enjoy the inspiration:
This is the view that you see when you first walk into the church—magnificent, isn’t it?
I felt very inspired the the misson’s creativity and juxtaposition of different patterns and colors—it felt unplanned, and created a sort of beautiful chaos.
Here’s a close up of those amazing ceilings!
San Xavier has the most amazing doors! You’ll be seeing more, but don’t these just scream OPEN ME!?
Check out this amazing ceiling! I’ll take one of these in my house any day!
I’m a sucker for a good stair rail.
I loved the fence surrounding the Mission, and this little dove even hopped in the photo to send me off!
Where are some of the most inspiring places you’ve been? I’d love to hear all about it in the comments below—feel free to leave a picture too!
