Ancient Words is a wonderful modern quilt inspired by ancient writings. The ancient cuneiform shape translates beautifully into quilted shapes with it’s elongated triangles.
This pattern makes use of curved and traditional piecing. It pairs beautifully with my Shorthand Template– making those curves a breeze to cut!
This easy quilt pattern has been tested for accuracy and clarity. All instructions are included for a baby, throw, and twin sized quilt.

This is such a fun pattern! Don’t let the curved piecing intimidate you, the curve is quite gentle and the blocks stitch together quickly and easily. Once you’ve got the first few under your belt, the rest practically sew themselves. A great pattern with lots of room for personalization too. Another winner by Rachel Rossi!!
