If you remember, way back in December, I had my Instagram account hacked. After what is now three months of getting absolutely nowhere with Instagram, I decided to give up and start over. In addition to a new beginning, I’ve got some exciting things going on over there…
I’m going to tell you all the exciting news, but if you’ve been hacked and are wondering what in the world to do, feel free to get in touch with me
A {forced} Refresh
First off, this whole process has been really upsetting. A lot of my business rides on my Instagram account, number of followers, and interaction. I have spent countless days and dollars researching, improving, and creating great Instagram content. Being hacked is just crushing and Instagram did nothing but protect the hacker during this time.
Despite all that, I’m choosing to look at this as a fresh start. Rather than hating this hacker for stealing my account (for a reasons that still remain unknown to me), I’ve chosen to take this opportunity to clean house, start fresh, and reward my faithful Instagram community.
An {incredible} Giveaway
The quilting industry might surprise you—sometimes it can be really cutthroat, but I have found a kind and giving community of creators that have come around me and are helping me out.
In a few days, I’m going to be launching my Take That, Hacker! campaign, where you’ll have an incredible opportunity to win some awesome prizes. The best part is that the earlier you follow my new Instagram account, the more opportunities you have to win!
How the Contest Works:
For every 100 followers, I’ll give away an awesome prize donated by some incredible designers. Who’s eligible for these prizes you ask? Any of my Instagram followers; whether you follow me today or when the contest starts!
What You’ll Win
The idea behind this campaign is to win back the followers that the hacker stole, so I’d be forever grateful if you’d share the giveaway posts with your quilty friends and family as they come up. We’ll have great (and I mean great) gifts from these generous friends (and more!):
Sara Lawson of Sew Sweetness
Amy Friend of During Quiet Time
Sue O’very from Sue O’Very Designs
Christa Watson from Christa Quilts
Debby Brown of Debby Brown Quilts
Kim Lapeck over at Persimon Dreams
I’m super excited about this and hope you are too! I’m so thankful for everyone who has donated items and went to the trouble to re-follow me. Thank you all for your support!
